I’m Monique Endersby, but everyone calls me Mon.
I’m a Noosa-based photographer specialising in underwater maternity, newborn, family, small weddings and elopements. My work is inspired by the ocean, natural light, and a slower, more intentional way of living—salty air, sunlit afternoons, and wide open spaces.
My style is film-inspired with a cinematic feel. I’m drawn to natural, unposed moments—letting things unfold as they are. The movement, the emotion, the quiet in-between moments you don’t always notice at the time, but end up meaning everything later. I work with natural light, earthy backdrops, and outdoor spaces to create images that feel honest, soft, and full of life.
To me photography is about creating something you can feel—images that take you straight back to that moment. Honest, a little raw, full of heart, and made to be held onto for years to come.
a personal note..
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me somewhere outdoors. On the beach, surfing, camping under the stars, heading off on a family road trip, or cruising the coast in my old 60 series. My love for nature comes from being a traveller at heart, exploring different countries and spending years travelling Australia and living out of a troopy with my husband and our dog.
We’ve never lost the travel bug even after becoming parents and we always strive to give our daughter a life full of adventure. I absolutely love being a mum — it’s at the heart of everything I do and has shaped the way I see connection, emotion, and the little in-between moments that matter most.
Op shops are literally my favourite places to shop. I’ve always been drawn to vintage pieces and mid-century style—music, fashion, homes and homewares—and that love for nostalgia gently weaves its way into my work.
Photography became deeply personal to me when I was younger. My family used to capture everything—videos, photos, moments we could relive. But when I was 11, our home was lost in a house fire, along with all of those special photos and videos. Making it hard for me to remember a lot of my younger childhood memories.
Not long after, my dad gave me my first camera. From that point on, I felt a strong connection to preserving moments—real, honest, meaningful ones that could be held onto and enjoyed forever.
I strongly believe documenting our lives is so important because we will never be this young again and it’s a little something that can be passed on to the next generation. So we’re with them even long after we’re gone.
